Homegrown smartphone brand Lava is preparing to launch a new handset in India featuring a Xiaomi 17 Pro-inspired dual display design. The upcoming phone is teased with a secondary rectangular screen integrated into the rear camera module alongside a dual-lens setup. The embossed rear panel confirms a 50-megapixel AI camera system. While the launch date and official name remain unannounced, Lava’s teaser image on X highlights sharp rounded edges and a slightly raised camera housing, with the power and volume buttons likely placed on the left frame.
This design follows the trend set by the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, which includes high-brightness secondary displays. Lava has previously released dual-screen models such as the Agni 3 with a 1.74-inch AMOLED rear panel and the Blaze Duo with a 1.58-inch AMOLED secondary display. Both screens allow users to capture selfies with the rear camera control music playback and adjust timers or alarms, offering enhanced versatility for creative and practical uses.
