The match, held on an electrifying night, saw Inter Miami trailing 0-1 at halftime. However, just two minutes into the second half, Telasco Segovia brought Miami level with a well-placed finish following a precise cross from Marcelo Weigandt. The comeback was complete in the 68th minute when Messi stepped up to take a free-kick from the edge of the box and, in classic fashion, curled the ball past the goalkeeper into the top corner.
Messi’s goal sent fans into a frenzy and instantly became a highlight of the tournament. Speaking after the match, Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano praised Messi’s relentless spirit and leadership. “Beyond his goal, what stands out is his hunger and determination.
