A significant transformation is underway in Jumeirah Lake Towers as one of the area’s largest water bodies makes way for a major new lifestyle destination. Lake D has been partially drained to accommodate BAY360 a large scale mixed use development set to introduce new shopping dining and recreational facilities to the neighbourhood.
Developed by DMCC in partnership with Sweid and Sweid the BAY360 project will be carefully integrated into the existing lake environment while preserving the waterfront as a central design element. The development aims to enhance daily life in JLT by combining essential services with leisure focused amenities in a single destination.
A key highlight of BAY360 will be a flagship 22,000 square foot Spinneys supermarket designed to serve residents and office workers in the area. Surrounding the anchor store will be a curated selection of cafés and restaurants many offering lake facing terraces. Additional features will include lifestyle retail outlets rooftop padel courts family friendly outdoor spaces medical facilities and an underground car park with around 300 parking spaces.
The project also includes major public realm upgrades with a redesigned pedestrian boulevard creating a clear connection between the JLT Metro Station and the far side of the lake. Enhanced landscaping will introduce more greenery seating areas and improved walkways around the water’s edge.
BAY360 forms part of DMCC’s broader strategy to elevate JLT into one of Dubai’s most attractive and long term residential and business communities. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2027 the development is expected to become a central hub for residents visitors and professionals working in the district.
