Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Look at Giganto Teases Epic Showdown in 2025 Reboot

Date:

Marvel Studios has just revealed a thrilling sneak peek from its upcoming film Fantastic Four: First Steps, offering fans their first look at Giganto, the monstrous creature drawn straight from the legendary debut issue of Fantastic Four in 1961. This highly anticipated reboot dives into the roots of Marvel’s first family while introducing audiences to a retro-futuristic setting and iconic villains from the classic comics.

In a new promotional TV spot released in collaboration with Little Caesars, viewers are treated to scenes of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm battling Giganto—a massive, green, reptilian monster known to comic fans as one of Mole Man’s fearsome creatures. The design remains strikingly true to the original artwork by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, invoking nostalgia while delivering cinematic thrills.

Director Matt Shakman appears to have carefully recreated the essence of the comics, including the moment when Giganto bursts from the ground, echoing the original comic cover. This faithful adaptation has led fans to speculate that Paul Walter Hauser may be cast as Mole Man, though Marvel has yet to confirm the character’s full reveal.

The cast lineup for the reboot includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing). Together, the superhero team must face massive threats while also preserving the unity and love that defines them as a family.

Joining the ensemble are acclaimed actors John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles in undisclosed roles. Produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Shakman, the film is also supported by executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis.

Set to release in theatres and IMAX on July 25, 2025, Fantastic Four: First Steps promises a blend of heartfelt storytelling and action-packed visuals that honor the legacy of Marvel’s earliest superheroes.
