At Mobile World Congress 2026 Tecno expanded its AI focused ecosystem by unveiling the Tecno Camon 50 Series and presenting futuristic device concepts. The new lineup succeeds last year’s Camon 40 range and reflects the brand’s push toward AI driven photography performance and design innovation.
The Tecno Camon 50 Series includes the Tecno Camon 50 Pro and Tecno Camon 50. Both smartphones feature a 6.78 inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate delivering smooth visuals for gaming and multimedia. Powering the devices is the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chipset paired with Android 16 layered with HiOS 16.
The Camon 50 Pro comes with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage while the standard model offers up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Both phones are equipped with a large 6500mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging along with in display fingerprint scanning NFC infrared remote functionality and dual speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos.
In terms of photography the Pro model houses a 50 megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation supported by a 50 megapixel telephoto lens offering 3X optical zoom and an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera. The standard Camon 50 includes a 50 megapixel main sensor without OIS and an ultra wide lens. Both devices feature a 32 megapixel front camera designed for detailed selfies and video calls.
Beyond smartphones Tecno revealed a new collaboration with Tonino Lamborghini aiming to combine advanced technology with luxury design. The partnership will introduce special edition products across multiple categories starting with the Taurus Mega Mini G1 Pro gaming PC promoted as one of the smallest water cooling gaming systems in its segment. A Pova Metal Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition smartphone is also expected as part of the collaboration.
Tecno further showcased its Modular Magnetic Interconnection Technology concept demonstrating how magnetic accessories such as attachable battery packs and camera modules could enhance smartphone capabilities. The company also presented its Pova gaming ecosystem featuring coordinated devices and accessories built for immersive play.
On the software side Tecno introduced Edge Side AIGC Preview technology developed with Arm to improve real time AI processing while reducing lag and display flicker. The announcements highlight Tecno’s ambition to strengthen its position in AI powered mobile innovation and lifestyle technology integration.
