Motorola is reportedly preparing to launch two new mid-range smartphones – the Moto G 2026 and the Moto G Play 2026. Fresh renders and leaked specifications reveal that both handsets will sport flat 6.7-inch HD+ displays with a centred hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, thin bezels on the sides, and slightly thicker chins. The design language of the two devices appears nearly identical, with subtle variations in colour and finish.
According to leaked details, both smartphones are expected to house a large 5,200mAh battery, with the Moto G 2026 supporting 30W fast charging and the Moto G Play 2026 limited to 18W charging. They will likely feature the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 4GB RAM, while the Moto G 2026 may also include 128GB of storage compared to the Play variant’s expected 64GB. Both phones are tipped to run Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI skin.
The Moto G 2026 is said to feature a 50MP primary camera with Quad Pixel technology, a Macro Vision sensor, and a 32MP selfie shooter. Camera features may include Night Vision, Portrait, Slow Motion, and Gesture Selfie. Meanwhile, the Moto G Play 2026 may sport a 32MP main camera at the back alongside an 8MP selfie lens with support for Night Vision, Portrait, Hyperlapse, and Photo Booth modes.
Other expected features include Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, Bluetooth 5.3, Google Gemini integration, Face Unlock, and Moto Secure. The back panel is rumoured to have an eco-leather finish for better grip. Renders suggest Pantone-inspired colours such as Cattleya Orchid and Tapestry will be available. With official details yet to be announced, Motorola fans can expect more updates closer to launch.
