Motorola is preparing to launch its next premium mid-range smartphone in India and fresh updates have revealed important details about the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. Ahead of its official debut the company has updated a dedicated Flipkart microsite confirming key specifications colour options and core hardware highlights. The smartphone will be sold exclusively via Flipkart and is expected to target users looking for a feature-packed device with a stylish design and powerful camera capabilities.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will arrive in India in three Pantone-curated colour variants named Silhouette Blue Surf and Country Air. Each variant will feature a leather-inspired textured back panel designed to enhance grip and aesthetics. Motorola is positioning the device as a premium offering in its segment with a strong focus on design and durability.
On the camera front the smartphone is confirmed to feature a triple rear camera system. The highlight is a 50 megapixel Sony LYT-710 primary sensor which Motorola claims is the first of its kind on a smartphone globally. The main camera will be supported by a 13 megapixel ultra-wide lens and a dedicated macro camera. For selfies and video calls the phone will feature a 32 megapixel front camera with support for 4K video recording.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will sport a quad-curved 1.5K display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The screen will deliver up to 5200 nits peak brightness support HDR10 Plus content and offer a 96.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. Additional display features include SGS eye protection certification and Smart Water Touch 3.0 allowing the phone to be used even with wet fingers.
Powering the device will be a large 7000mAh silicon carbon battery paired with 68W fast wired charging support. Despite the big battery Motorola claims the phone will maintain a slim profile at just 7.99mm thickness. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and is also expected to feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Pricing details have not been officially announced yet but more information is expected to be revealed soon.
