Nick Jonas is enjoying a slower pace of life these days as he spends quality time with his wife Priyanka Chopra and their daughter Malti Marie in New York City. The singer and actor recently spoke about the joy of being settled in one place while juggling his Broadway performance and fatherhood.
At the premiere night of his musical The Last Five Years, Jonas expressed how special it feels to stay in one city for a while, especially for Malti. “She absolutely loves New York,” he shared. “We’re typically on the move all the time—jumping from city to city—but being rooted in one place has allowed us to bond more as a family.”
Nick also mentioned that although his 2.5-year-old daughter hasn’t watched an entire performance yet, she’s familiar with his theater life. “She’s been in and out of rehearsals, soaking in the vibe of the theater,” he said. “We’ve been taking her around the city and keeping her engaged. Amid our hectic work lives, finding time to be together as a family has been truly rewarding.”
Earlier, the Jonas Brothers member spoke candidly about his favorite part of being a dad. “No matter how successful or cool you feel, your child keeps you grounded,” he said with a smile. “All Malti wants is for me to play Moana and Maui with her—and nothing else matters more than that. It reminds me that at home, I’m just her dad, and that’s the role I cherish the most.”
A few days ago, Nick posted a sweet selfie on Instagram where he wore one of Malti’s bows and a flower clip, with pink balloons in the background. He captioned it simply, “Girl dad life,” winning hearts on the internet.
