The upcoming OnePlus 15T has reportedly made an early appearance during an online livestream, offering the first detailed look at the design and specifications of the device before its official launch. The new handset from OnePlus is expected to debut in China later this month before gradually reaching global markets.
According to reports, the device is being positioned as a compact flagship smartphone that combines high end hardware with a smaller and easier to handle form factor. During the livestream presentation the company highlighted the device as a next generation small screen powerhouse built for performance and everyday usability.
The smartphone appears to feature a clean and minimal design with rounded edges and a slim camera module placed near the rear panel. The camera setup is housed inside a metal cube style module that slightly protrudes but remains relatively thin compared to typical flagship designs.
The handset will reportedly launch in three colour options including Pure Cocoa Relaxing Matcha and Healing White Chocolate. The white version is said to use a special micro arc oxidation manufacturing process which allows the metal frame and glass back panel to maintain a consistent white finish.
Meanwhile the Pure Cocoa and Relaxing Matcha variants will feature AG frosted glass panels designed to resist fingerprints while offering a matte texture for improved grip and appearance.
In terms of size the phone is expected to measure around 71.82 millimetres in width and weigh approximately 194 grams. The company has reportedly balanced the internal components with a 50 to 50 weight distribution which aims to improve comfort and prevent the phone from feeling top heavy during daily use.
The device will include a 6.32 inch flat display surrounded by ultra narrow bezels on all four sides giving users an immersive viewing experience despite the compact design.
One of the most notable highlights is the massive 7500mAh Glacier Battery which is unusually large for a phone in this size category. The battery will support 100W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging allowing users to power up quickly.
Additionally the phone is expected to feature a bypass charging system that helps reduce heat buildup while gaming or performing heavy tasks.
Camera improvements are also expected with reports suggesting the presence of an upgraded LUMO periscope telephoto lens though full camera specifications have not yet been officially revealed.
The handset is also said to include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometric security along with upgraded stereo speakers stronger haptic feedback and a durable build.
For protection the device will reportedly carry IP66 IP68 IP69 and IP69K ratings which provide resistance against dust water and harsh environmental conditions.
The OnePlus 15T may also support a magnetic accessory ecosystem allowing users to attach compatible chargers cases cooling accessories and other add ons designed for the device.
