Oppo is building anticipation around its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, by teasing advanced camera features and premium specifications ahead of its expected global debut in April. The device is shaping up to be a strong contender in the high-end smartphone segment, likely going head-to-head with rivals like the Vivo X300 Ultra.
The standout highlight of the Find X9 Ultra is its innovative camera system. Oppo has confirmed that the device will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto lens capable of delivering 10x optical zoom. Unlike conventional setups, this camera does not rely on an external teleconverter, as the company has integrated a “built-in teleconverter” mechanism within the phone itself. This allows the camera to achieve a focal length equivalent of 230mm and extend up to 20x zoom while maintaining near optical-level clarity.
The telephoto sensor is expected to use a customised Samsung ISOCELL sensor paired with an f/3.5 aperture. Oppo claims the setup will offer DSLR-like image quality along with advanced optical image stabilisation that mimics gimbal-level stability, supported by precise calibration technology. Early samples shared by the company highlight impressive clarity even at high zoom levels.
In addition to the telephoto lens, the rear camera system is expected to include two 200-megapixel sensors and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, making it one of the most powerful camera arrays in a smartphone. For selfies, the device may feature a 50-megapixel front camera.
Beyond photography, the Find X9 Ultra is expected to offer top-tier hardware. Reports suggest a large LTPO AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, likely powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone could also come with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, ensuring strong performance for demanding users.
The device is also tipped to include robust durability ratings for dust and water resistance along with a massive battery exceeding 7000mAh. Fast charging support is expected, including both wired and wireless options.
