Dubai’s Discovery Gardens community has started implementing paid parking, meaning residents and visitors will now need to plan for parking charges when driving in the area. Dubai Holding Community Management confirmed that the regulated parking system was launched on Thursday, January 15, 2026, and is managed by Parkonic.
The new parking rules aim to improve the availability of shared parking spaces across the neighbourhood, especially in buildings without dedicated parking facilities. Each eligible residential unit will receive one free parking permit, while residents owning more than one vehicle must subscribe for additional permits.
Residents are urged to register and apply for their permits early to avoid penalties, as enforcement will begin soon. Permit applications opened on December 24, 2025, through Parkonic’s tenant registration portal. Paid parking subscriptions for extra vehicles became available from January 9, 2026, and can be processed via the Parkonic app or website. It is important to note that permits are issued to registered residential units only, not to individual drivers.
Once the system is fully enforced, vehicles without valid permits or subscriptions may receive fines. Dubai Holding emphasises that the new regulated parking will help reduce congestion, improve parking accessibility, and enhance safety within Discovery Gardens.
