Realme is gearing up to expand its smartphone lineup in India with the official launch of the Realme 16 5G scheduled for April 2. The upcoming mid-range device has already debuted in select global markets earlier this year and is now set to arrive in the Indian market with several notable features.
The smartphone will be available for purchase through Flipkart as well as Realme’s official online store. Ahead of its release, key details about the device have been revealed through official teasers and listings, giving users a clear idea of what to expect.
One of the major highlights of the Realme 16 5G is its massive 7000mAh battery, which is expected to deliver extended usage for heavy users. The device will support 60W fast charging, ensuring quicker power top-ups despite the large battery capacity.
The phone is confirmed to feature a 6.57-inch display, designed to offer an immersive viewing experience. It will also come equipped with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera housed in a horizontally aligned module. The camera setup includes a unique reflective surface that can act as a mirror, allowing users to take selfies using the rear camera with ease.
On the software side, the Realme 16 5G will run on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. The company has promised long-term support, including three major Android updates and four years of security patches.
Performance-wise, the global variant of the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also includes a vapour chamber cooling system with a large heat dissipation area to maintain stable performance during intensive tasks.
In terms of durability, the handset carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for tough usage conditions. The phone will be offered in two colour options, Air Black and Air White, giving buyers a choice between classic and clean aesthetics.
With a combination of strong battery life, capable hardware, and updated software, the Realme 16 5G aims to deliver a balanced mid-range experience for Indian consumers.
