Realme GT 8 Teased for October Launch with Leaked 6.6-Inch Display and 000mAh Battery Details

Date:

Realme is gearing up to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 8, with multiple leaks hinting at exciting upgrades in design, performance, and battery life. The device is expected to make its official debut in October 2025, alongside the Realme GT 8 Pro.

Realme Vice President Chase Xu recently dropped a cryptic hint on Weibo, sparking speculation about the upcoming GT 8 series. While he avoided directly naming the handset, his reference to the number eight on August 8 has been interpreted as a playful nod to the new model. Realme VP Wang Wei has also confirmed that the series is slated for an October release, making it one of the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.

According to tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the Realme GT 8 will feature a 6.6-inch flat display, paired with a massive 7000mAh battery for extended usage. This marks a slight size reduction from the Realme GT 7’s 6.78-inch AMOLED display, but the battery capacity remains impressive for long-lasting performance. The Realme GT 8 Pro is tipped to include a 2K resolution flat display, a premium metal frame, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a powerful 200MP periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom photography.

Design changes are also a major focus for this generation. Realme’s product manager stated that the GT 8 series will bring a fresh visual identity, emphasizing aesthetics as a key selling point. The company aims to deliver a product that surprises fans both in form and function.

The Realme GT 7, launched in India earlier this year, came equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor in its Indian variant and a Dimensity 9400+ in its Chinese model. With the GT 8 series expected to transition to Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon platform, users can anticipate a significant performance boost.

With powerful hardware, bold new design elements, and a massive battery, the Realme GT 8 series is shaping up to be a major contender in the premium smartphone market when it launches later this year.
