Xiaomi has unveiled its latest Redmi K90 series in China, introducing the flagship Redmi K90 Pro Max alongside the standard Redmi K90. The Pro Max model features a 6.9-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and TSMC’s AI-powered D2 display chip. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The device houses a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup including ultrawide, periscope telephoto, and primary sensors, plus a 32-megapixel front camera, and supports 8K video recording. Audio is enhanced with Bose-tuned 2.1-channel stereo speakers, making it a premium multimedia device.
The Redmi K90 comes with a 6.59-inch OLED display with similar screen features, powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm chipset, and supports up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Its camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary, 50-megapixel telephoto, and 8-megapixel ultrawide rear cameras, along with a 20-megapixel front shooter. Both phones run Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and offer robust battery options: the Pro Max has a 7,560mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the standard K90 has a 7,100mAh battery with 100W wired charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and multiple global navigation systems.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 3,999 for the Redmi K90 Pro Max base variant and CNY 2,599 for the Redmi K90 base model. Both devices come in multiple color options and are available via Xiaomi’s official online store.
