Date:

Redmi has officially expanded its popular Note lineup in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G, a feature-packed mid-range smartphone designed for performance-focused users. Positioned as the successor to the Redmi Note 14 5G, the new device brings notable upgrades in camera technology, processing power, display quality, and long-term software support, making it one of the most competitive smartphones in its segment for 2026.

At the core of the Redmi Note 15 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which Redmi claims offers over 30 percent better multitasking performance compared to the previous generation. The phone runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 straight out of the box and stands out with a strong update promise, including four years of major Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Redmi has also confirmed an upcoming update to HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

The smartphone features a large 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels. The panel supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 3200 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility. Protection is handled by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, enhancing durability for daily use.

Photography is a major highlight of the Redmi Note 15 5G. The device is equipped with a 108-megapixel primary rear camera that delivers detailed images, supported by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera for landscape and group shots. On the front, a 20-megapixel selfie camera handles video calls and social media content. The rear camera system supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the front camera records at 1080p.

Powering the handset is a sizeable 5520mAh battery, designed to comfortably last a full day and more. It supports 45W fast wired charging, along with 18W reverse charging, allowing users to power other devices when needed. Despite the large battery, the phone maintains a slim profile at just 7.35mm thickness and weighs 178 grams.

In terms of build quality, the Redmi Note 15 5G carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. Security features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and AI-based face unlock. Audio is handled by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification, enhancing entertainment and gaming experiences.

Connectivity options include 5G support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone supports dual Nano SIM cards and also offers microSD card expansion for additional storage.

In India, the Redmi Note 15 5G starts at Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB storage version is priced at Rs. 21,999. These prices include a bank discount of Rs. 3,000 on select Axis Bank ICICI Bank and SBI Card transactions. Buyers also receive added value through bundled subscriptions, including YouTube Premium Spotify Premium Standard and Google One for a limited duration.

With its powerful chipset high-resolution camera premium display and extended software support the Redmi Note 15 5G positions itself as a strong all-rounder for users seeking long-term value in the mid-range smartphone market.
