Redmi is reportedly gearing up to introduce two new devices in China, with the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and the Redmi Buds 8 Pro now appearing in regulatory listings. The development suggests that the brand is preparing for an official launch, possibly alongside an upcoming mid-range Redmi smartphone equipped with a massive 10,000mAh battery.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which debuted in global markets earlier this year, is expected to retain its premium positioning as a productivity and entertainment tablet. The global model features a 12.1-inch 2K display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and a robust 12,000mAh battery. While China-specific details remain unconfirmed, industry insiders anticipate similar or slightly upgraded specifications to align with the region’s competitive tablet segment.
The upcoming Redmi Buds 8 Pro are also generating buzz, as they are likely to succeed the Redmi Buds 6 Pro with enhanced performance and improved noise-cancellation capabilities. The previous generation offered up to 55dB ANC, triple-driver architecture and an impressive total battery backup of up to 36 hours. The new model is expected to refine audio clarity and connectivity for a more immersive experience.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro is currently priced globally at EUR 299.9 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 5G model retails at EUR 379.9. It supports Dolby Atmos audio, Hi-Res certification, microSD expansion up to 2TB and comes in Graphite Grey, Silver and Lavender Purple. Its 33W wired charging and 27W reverse charging further strengthen its appeal for on-the-go users.
With both the tablet and earbuds now spotted in fresh filings, anticipation is rising for an official announcement in China. If confirmed, Redmi’s upcoming lineup could be one of the brand’s most powerful product refreshes targeting entertainment-centric consumers and value-focused tech buyers.
