The Redmi Watch 5, Xiaomi’s latest smartwatch under its sub-brand, has been launched in China. Featuring a 2.07-inch AMOLED display with an always-on mode, the watch also includes an eSIM version that allows for voice calls. The Redmi Watch 5 comes with customizable watch faces and is water-resistant up to 5ATM. It offers heart rate monitoring and supports over 150 sports modes. The device is equipped with a 550mAh battery, claimed to last up to 24 days on a single charge.
Price and Availability
Priced at CNY 599 (approximately Rs. 6,600), the Redmi Watch 5 is available in Elegant Black and Moon Silver colors. The eSIM version costs CNY 799 (around Rs. 9,000) and is available in Titanium color. Both models are currently available for purchase in China.

The Redmi Watch 5 features a 2.07-inch AMOLED 2.5D screen with a resolution of 432×514 pixels, peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and a 60Hz refresh rate, offering a pixel density of 324ppi. The watch boasts an aluminum frame and a metal dial, running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 interface.
Xiaomi has included an eSIM version that supports phone calls and messaging on compatible platforms. The watch is water-resistant up to 5ATM and supports more than 150 sports modes, including walking, running, and skating. It also includes a built-in GNSS positioning sensor for activity tracking.
The Redmi Watch 5 offers over 200 watch faces and includes a linear motor providing over 20 vibration modes. It supports third-party apps and features an AFE chip with Xiaomi’s self-developed algorithm for heart rate and sleep monitoring. Additional features include SpO2 tracking and breathing tracking. The watch supports Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC.
With a 550mAh battery, the Redmi Watch 5 offers up to 24 days of battery life with normal usage and up to 12 days with the Always-On Display mode. It is compatible with devices running Android 8.0 and later or iOS 12.0 and later.
