Samsung has discreetly expanded its next-gen laptop lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G, a powerful AI-focused notebook designed for users who want performance, portability, and Copilot+ capabilities. The new model succeeds last year’s Galaxy Book 4 Edge and arrives with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chipset, advanced neural processing power, and a large full HD display tailored for productivity and entertainment.
The Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G features a 15.6-inch anti-glare IPS screen and comes equipped with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM paired with 512GB of eUFS storage. Samsung has claimed that the updated NPU can deliver up to 45 TOPS, allowing the laptop to handle intensive AI tasks such as real-time creative assistance, smart video effects, and enhanced on-device processing without relying on cloud computing.
Certified as a Copilot+ PC, the laptop supports Windows features including Cocreator, Windows Studio Effects, and Live Captions, bringing a more intuitive and AI-driven workflow experience. With a slim profile and a weight of 1.66kg, the device is built for mobility while maintaining powerful performance for work, school, and entertainment.
The Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G packs a 61.5Wh battery that Samsung says can deliver up to 27 hours of use on a single charge. It offers robust connectivity options including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and sub-6GHz 5G support. Additional ports include USB 3.2 Type-A, dual USB 4.0 Type-C, HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD reader. The model is available in the UK in a single Sapphire Blue variant priced at GBP 949.
