Hollywood actor Sophie Turner has openly shared her admiration for Indian cinema, praising some of its biggest stars and expressing her desire to be part of a Bollywood film in the future. In a recent interaction, the actor spoke warmly about her love for Indian movies, naming Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone as her top favourites from the industry.
Sophie described Shah Rukh Khan as the “GOAT” of Indian cinema, acknowledging his legendary status and global influence. At the same time, she expressed a deep appreciation for Deepika Padukone, calling her incredible and highlighting her screen presence and talent. According to Sophie, both actors represent the magic and scale that make Indian films so special to international audiences.
The actor also revealed her love for the blockbuster film RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli. She said the epic action drama left a strong impression on her, praising its grand storytelling and cinematic spectacle. Released in 2022, RRR starred NTR Jr and Ram Charan and went on to gain worldwide recognition, further boosting global interest in Indian cinema.
Beyond admiration, Sophie Turner shared her wish to work in a Bollywood production someday. She said she would love to experience the vibrant dance sequences, lavish sets and larger-than-life storytelling that define Hindi films. Sophie highlighted that the production design and visual scale of Indian movies are unlike anything typically seen on Western film sets, making Bollywood an exciting space for creative exploration.
Although Sophie has not yet appeared in an Indian film, she has visited the country before. She attended the grand wedding celebrations of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra in Jodhpur in 2018, where she experienced Indian culture and festivities firsthand.
Sophie is not the only Hollywood celebrity to praise Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Over the years, several global stars have spoken highly of Shah Rukh’s charisma and career, while Deepika has earned international recognition, including her Hollywood debut alongside Vin Diesel.
