Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney may soon be stepping into Bollywood with what is being described as one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. According to reports, the actor has been approached with a staggering ₹530 crore (45 million pound) offer, leaving even her surprised by the scale of the deal.
The project is said to cast Sweeney as a young American celebrity who falls in love with an Indian film star, with filming scheduled to take place in early 2026 across international destinations including New York, Paris, London, and Dubai.
The reported deal includes a base fee of 35 million pounds (over ₹415 crore) along with 10 million pounds (₹115 crore) in sponsorships. Producers believe Sweeney’s global appeal could help expand the film’s reach in international markets, giving Bollywood a stronger foothold on the world stage.
A source shared: “Sydney was initially shocked by the size of the offer. Forty-five million pounds is an extraordinary amount, but the storyline and global ambition of the project are compelling. This opportunity could elevate her career to an even greater international level.”
The insider added that while Sweeney has a number of upcoming Hollywood projects, this Bollywood film could test her acting range and introduce her to entirely new audiences. “She is considering her options carefully. Money isn’t her only motivation, but the potential to break into new markets is something she is weighing.”
Representatives for the actor have yet to officially comment on the reports.
