Legendary American band The Beach Boys are heading to Dubai for the very first time with a special one-night-only performance at Coca-Cola Arena on Thursday June 11. The concert will mark the 60th anniversary of their groundbreaking album Pet Sounds, a record widely regarded as one of the most influential pop releases of all time.
Originally released in 1966, Pet Sounds reshaped modern music with its lush harmonies and innovative production. The album features timeless tracks such as Wouldn’t It Be Nice God Only Knows and Sloop John B, songs that continue to resonate with audiences decades later.
Known for their signature California surf sound intricate vocal arrangements and instantly recognisable melodies, The Beach Boys have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and earned over 33 RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the group has spent more than half a century touring globally and remains one of the most celebrated bands in music history.
Following the passing of co-founder Brian Wilson, the band continues under the leadership of founding member Mike Love alongside a seasoned touring ensemble that carries forward the group’s enduring legacy. Their Dubai debut is expected to showcase classic hits along with a tribute to the enduring brilliance of Pet Sounds.
