Tom Holland Suffers Injury on Spider-Man: Brand New Day Set in Glasgow – What It Means for Filming and Release Date

Date:

Marvel fans received a scare as Tom Holland sustained an injury during the filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland. Production was temporarily paused on Friday, September 19, after the 29-year-old actor suffered what has been described as a mild concussion while performing on set.

According to sources close to the project, Holland will be taking a short break from filming as a precaution. Fortunately, his recovery is expected to be quick, and he should be back in front of the camera within a few days. Insiders also confirmed that the movie’s release date of July 24, 2026 remains unaffected.

The news of Holland’s injury quickly spread online, sparking a wave of concern from fans. Social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) were filled with supportive messages such as “TOM HOLLAND BETTER BE OK” and “Prayers for Tom Holland. Stay strong brother.”

This isn’t the first time the actor has dealt with on-set challenges. Known for performing many of his own stunts, Holland previously revealed the physical toll of shooting action-heavy films. While filming Uncharted, he recalled getting hit by a car multiple times and suffering hamstring tendinitis toward the end of production.

Before filming began in Scotland, Holland expressed his excitement, saying he was “over the moon” to be working on location again, especially after Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) was shot entirely on soundstages due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite the brief setback, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still on track to deliver another thrilling adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, continuing Holland’s beloved portrayal of the web-slinging superhero.
