Referring to clinical research, Dr Rajan highlighted a study involving 184 participants that compared the effects of eating two kiwis daily with taking psyllium husk, a commonly used fibre supplement. After four weeks, individuals who consumed kiwi showed better results in terms of regular bowel movements improved stool consistency reduced straining and overall digestive satisfaction.
The effectiveness of kiwi is largely attributed to its high content of soluble and prebiotic fibre.
