Vivo has unveiled its new TWS 5 series earphones in China, introducing both the standard Vivo TWS 5 and the Vivo TWS 5 Hi-Fi models. Launched alongside the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro smartphones, the latest truly wireless stereo headsets promise premium sound quality, active noise cancellation, and extended battery life for users seeking high-fidelity audio experiences.
Both models come with 11mm dynamic drivers and Hi-Res Audio certification, designed to deliver clear and immersive sound. The TWS 5 Hi-Fi supports LDAC, LHDC, AAC, SBC, and LC3 audio codecs, while the standard TWS 5 supports LDAC, AAC, SBC, and LC3. Active noise cancellation (ANC) is rated to reduce ambient sounds by up to 60dB, with an average noise reduction depth of 28dB.
For gamers, the series offers 42ms low-latency mode, ensuring smoother audio during gameplay. The earphones feature Bluetooth 5.4 with a 10-metre operating range, IP54 dust and splash resistance, DeepX 4.0 stereo sound, and 5,500Hz ultra-wideband noise reduction. Triple microphones are included for AI-based call noise reduction, along with a second-generation ceramic tungsten acoustic diaphragm with nano-coating for enhanced audio performance.
The TWS 5 series supports triple device connections, along with a smart translate feature covering languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, and Thai. Touch controls allow easy management of calls, music playlists, and voice assistant commands.
Battery life is impressive: with ANC on, the earbuds provide up to 6 hours of playback, extending to 24 hours with the case. With ANC off, they last up to 12 hours per charge and 48 hours with the charging case. The earphones come in multiple colour options, including Simple White, Pure Black, Smokey Purple, and Deep Sea Blue for the Hi-Fi variant.
Vivo TWS 5 pricing is set at CNY 399 (approx Rs. 4,500) for the standard model and CNY 499 (approx Rs. 5,500) for the Hi-Fi variant. These earphones aim to compete in the premium wireless audio segment with enhanced connect.
