The Vivo Vision Explorer Edition is built with a sleek 40mm thick frame, weighing 398g, and comes with a large front visor and padded rear headband for comfort during extended use. The headset operates on OriginOS Vision, Vivo’s proprietary operating system tailored for mixed reality, offering ultra-low latency of just 13ms for a seamless experience.

Currently available for preorder at 12 official Vivo experience stores across China, the company also announced that more outlets will soon open to expand availability. Pricing and global release dates are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Vivo Vision Explorer Edition Features and Specifications

The headset boasts dual binocular 8K (3,552 × 3,840 pixels) Micro-OLED panels with 94 percent P3 color gamut coverage and a brightness range of 100 to 1000 nits. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip and Vivo’s custom Blue Ocean power management system, ensuring balanced performance and efficiency.

It supports precise 1.5-degree eye tracking, 26-degree depth micro-gesture recognition, and a wide 175-degree vertical interaction range, enabling natural user interaction. The device also allows users to record 3D videos, capture spatial photos, and enjoy 180-degree panoramic field of view with spatial audio.

For immersive entertainment, the Vivo Vision Explorer Edition offers a virtual 120-inch cinema screen, multi-device casting, 3D esports viewing, PC and mobile game streaming, and multi-window productivity. Some premium features require pairing with select Vivo smartphones.

With its specifications, the Vivo Vision Explorer Edition is set to rival not only the Apple Vision Pro, but also the Meta Quest 3 and Samsung’s upcoming XR headset.
