Smartphone brand Vivo has officially teased the upcoming launch of its new flagship device, the Vivo X300s, revealing several key features ahead of its debut in China. The device was previously rumoured to arrive under the name Vivo X300 Max, but company executives have now confirmed that it will be introduced as the Vivo X300s.
Details about the handset were shared by Han Boxiao, a product manager at Vivo, through a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The executive highlighted several specifications of the upcoming smartphone including display technology, camera setup, speakers and vibration system.
The Vivo X300s is expected to feature a large 6.78-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, offering smoother visuals while gaming and scrolling. The screen will reportedly use advanced BOE Q10 Plus luminescent material and support a technology called Circular Polarised Light 2.0, designed to improve eye comfort during long viewing sessions.
For photography, the smartphone will include a powerful Zeiss-tuned 200-megapixel rear camera. The optics partnership with Zeiss aims to enhance image quality and deliver improved clarity in photos and videos.
Audio performance is also expected to receive an upgrade. The Vivo X300s will reportedly include a “1511 War Drum Master” symmetrical dual speaker system, which the company claims can significantly improve gaming sound output. Additionally, the phone will use a customised ultra-sensory vibration motor built with a special alloy material that delivers wider vibration feedback compared to traditional haptic motors.
According to earlier reports, the device could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ processor from MediaTek, along with a massive 7,000mAh battery. The phone may also feature a 1.5K OLED display and include a periscope telephoto camera as part of its rear camera system.
The Vivo X300s will succeed the Vivo X200s, which launched in China in April 2025 with a starting price of CNY 4,199 for the base variant. The earlier model offered a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and was powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset.
Although Vivo has revealed several features of the X300s, the company has not yet announced the official launch date. However, industry reports suggest the smartphone could be introduced later this month.
