Vivo’s Upcoming X500 Lineup May Feature 7,000mAh Batteries as Early Leaks Suggest Bigger Power Boost

Date:

Vivo’s next-generation X-series smartphones are reportedly set to bring a major upgrade in battery capacity, according to early industry leaks. While the Vivo X300 series is gearing up for its India launch, speculation around its successor has already surfaced. Tipsters suggest that the future flagship range, expected to be named the Vivo X500 series, could introduce significantly larger batteries, offering users a notable leap in power efficiency and longevity.

Current Chinese variants of the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro feature 6,040mAh and 6,510mAh cells, but the next generation may push this boundary even further. A well-known insider claims that Vivo is testing around 7,000mAh battery options for its upcoming flagship lineup, although the long-awaited X300 Ultra is not expected to reach that capacity. If the company sticks to its usual naming approach, the X400 label may be skipped altogether due to regional superstitions, paving the way for the X500 branding.

The rumoured X500 series is reportedly planned for a launch window around October or November 2026, indicating that the devices are still several months away. More details are expected to surface in the early half of next year as development progresses. Meanwhile, Vivo may also be working on ambitious battery upgrades for its mid-range phones, with some models tipped to include capacities nearing 8,000mAh or even 9,000mAh. The rise of silicon–carbon battery technology across Chinese manufacturers is further accelerating advances in battery density and long-term durability.

Global markets, however, may continue to receive slightly smaller battery capacities compared to their Chinese counterparts. The international versions of the current Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, for instance, feature 5,360mAh and 5,440mAh batteries, which are noticeably lower than the units used in China. All models in the X300 lineup run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 platform paired with Zeiss-enhanced camera systems, and the upcoming X500 models are expected to build upon this foundation.
