Xiaomi has begun rolling out the stable HyperOS 2.2 update for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in India. This latest firmware, version OS2.0.201.0.VNAINXM, brings several enhancements including a redesigned camera application, refreshed icons, and new wallpapers. The update package size is approximately 1.3GB and also integrates the June 2025 Android security patch to enhance device security.
According to reports from Xiaomi users on social media platform X, the update is based on Android 15 and introduces multiple performance improvements and bug fixes. Notable changes include optimized system animations, a reworked camera app interface featuring streamlined menus and better settings management, and a customizable watermark positioning feature.
Additionally, the update brings a new shortcut to system navigation settings accessible from the home screen settings. The wallpapers now support a blur effect, enhancing visual appeal, and improvements have been made to the full-screen indicator and animation effects when launching apps. Gesture controls have also been refined to reduce accidental activations, especially for Xiaomi’s Hyper XiaoAi assistant.
Performance enhancements extend to smoother scrolling on content feeds within some third-party applications. The update also addresses bugs related to wallpaper and animation glitches and resolves gesture functionality issues encountered in certain situations. Lock screen shortcuts have become customizable, with lock screen wallpapers now supporting a lens effect for a more immersive experience.
Xiaomi plans to expand the availability of HyperOS 2.2 to additional devices in the coming weeks. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, launched in India in March last year with a starting price of Rs. 99,999, features a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It includes a quad-camera setup on the rear and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 90W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
