Xiaomi 17T Rumored to Feature 6,500mAh Battery and Advanced OmniVision Camera Sensors

Date:

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated 17T series, which includes the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro, in global markets. Leaks suggest the standard Xiaomi 17T will feature a larger 6,500mAh battery compared to the 5,500mAh cell in the previous Xiaomi 15T, while maintaining 67W wired fast charging support.

According to insider reports, the Xiaomi 17T, internally codenamed P12A, will house a triple rear camera system including an OmniVision OV50E sensor, an OmniVision OV13B sensor, and Samsung ISOCELL sensors for ultra-wide and telephoto capabilities. This setup is designed to enhance photography with high-resolution imaging and versatile shooting options, while a Samsung ISOCELL S5KKDS sensor is likely reserved for selfies.

The device is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, offering advanced generative AI and agentic AI features. This SoC also powers devices like the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, promising high performance and efficient multitasking.

Earlier reports indicate that the Xiaomi 17T Pro was spotted on the IMEI database under model numbers 2602EPTC0G and 2602EPTC0R, hinting at a potential February 2026 launch. If accurate, this marks a significant departure from Xiaomi’s usual September release timeline for the T-series smartphones. Fans can expect improved battery life, advanced AI capabilities, and a refined camera experience, making the Xiaomi 17T a notable contender in the high-end smartphone segment.
