Xiaomi has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of its highly anticipated smartphone, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro. Scheduled to debut in China later this month, this next-generation device builds on the success of the Civi 4 Pro and is expected to be the most advanced model in the series to date.
Teasers released via Xiaomi’s Weibo handle reveal that the Civi 5 Pro will feature a premium metal frame along with a sleek and slim design. The handset will be available in at least four color variants including black beige purple and white. The front will showcase a curved display with ultra-thin bezels, emphasizing Xiaomi’s focus on aesthetics and visual appeal.
One of the most exciting highlights of the Civi 5 Pro is its powerful 50-megapixel front-facing camera, designed to capture high-resolution selfies and offer professional-level portrait photography. The device will also include a Leica-branded triple rear camera system, with a possible 50-megapixel telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom. Engraved on the rear panel is “Leica Vario-Summilux 1:1.62-2.2/15-60 ASPH,” suggesting a variable aperture from f/1.63 to f/2.2 and a 15mm ultra-wide focal length.
Internally referred to as “Little 15,” the Civi 5 Pro is believed to offer flagship-grade performance comparable to Apple’s standard iPhone models. Xiaomi President Lu Weibing highlighted that the phone aims to bring top-tier capabilities within a stylish and compact form factor.
The Civi 5 Pro is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with the Adreno 825 GPU and up to 16GB of RAM. It will operate on Android 15 and may sport a massive battery exceeding 6,000mAh. Despite its powerful hardware, the device is rumored to be just 7mm thick, balancing performance with portability.
Benchmark results from a listing with model number Xiaomi 25067PYE3C have hinted at these high-end specifications. Xiaomi has also started accepting pre-orders for the handset through its official China website. Camera samples shared on social media showcase the device’s capabilities in low-light photography, reinforcing its imaging prowess.
Xiaomi continues to raise the bar in the smartphone segment, and the Civi 5 Pro is set to be a key offering in its 2025 lineup alongside other anticipated releases like the Xiaomi Mix 5 and Xiaomi 16 series.
