Samsung has officially opened pre-orders for its Galaxy Z TriFold in China marking another major step for its innovative two-fold smartphone after its initial reveal in South Korea. Designed as a hybrid between a phone and a tablet the Galaxy Z TriFold introduces an expansive 10-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X interior display that unfolds into a workspace while the 6.5-inch Full HD+ cover display supports smooth 120Hz visuals for everyday use. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset and paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage the device aims to redefine multitasking portability and high-performance productivity in a tri-fold format.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy Z TriFold in China starting at CNY 19,999 for the 16GB+512GB model while the 16GB+1TB version costs CNY 21,999. Available in a sleek black finish the device is currently up for pre-order on the brand’s official website. In South Korea the phone is set at KRW 3,59,400 million and will roll out to regions including Singapore Taiwan and the UAE by late December with a US release expected in Q1 2026.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is equipped with a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner screen featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness while the outer 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel reaches 2,600 nits. The device is built for durability using a titanium hinge armour aluminium frame Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and an IP48 rating for dust and water protection. It ships with Android 16 layered with Samsung’s One UI 8 interface.
Photography enthusiasts will find a 200MP main camera with OIS a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto shooter capable of 30x digital zoom. The phone also features two 10MP front cameras one on the cover screen and another on the inside to support both unfolded and folded video calls.
Samsung’s tri-fold also includes a 5,600mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Connectivity options include 5G Wi-Fi 7 Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C. Weighing 309g the Galaxy Z TriFold measures 12.9mm when folded and an impressively slim 3.9mm when unfolded showcasing Samsung’s engineering advancements in multi-panel foldables.
