Xiaomi’s upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra is shaping up to be the next major flagship entry in the Xiaomi 17 lineup and new leaks reveal when fans can expect its pre-orders and official unveiling. While the company has not confirmed the smartphone yet early insider tips suggest that reservations in China will open between December 15 and December 25 hinting at a possible launch on December 26.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is also expected to mirror the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s pricing making it a familiar premium offering for buyers. Earlier the Xiaomi 15 Ultra started at CNY 6499 for the 12GB 256GB model and reached CNY 7799 for the 16GB 1TB variant and reports suggest the brand will follow a similar structure for the new Ultra model.
Performance upgrades appear significant with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite platform. Camera improvements are also in focus with leaks pointing to a Leica-enhanced quad camera array featuring a massive 200MP periscope sensor supported by three 50MP lenses.
Additional speculation points to a 6.8-inch 2K LTPO display promising smoother visuals and deeper contrast improved durability through a 3D-printed titanium alloy mid-frame and a large battery possibly ranging between 7000mAh and 7500mAh with 50W wireless charging. Xiaomi is also expected to introduce the 17 Ultra as the fourth model in the series joining the Xiaomi 17 Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
If Xiaomi maintains its traditional schedule the global reveal may follow a few days after the China launch typically aligning with the MWC timeline in Barcelona though leaks suggest an earlier announcement this time. More official details are awaited but the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is already shaping up to be one of Xiaomi’s most feature-packed flagships to date.
