Lava has expanded its budget smartphone lineup in India with the official launch of the Lava Yuva Star 3. Designed for entry-level users the new handset focuses on everyday performance durability and long battery life while keeping the price accessible.
The Lava Yuva Star 3 arrives as the successor to the Yuva Star 2 and features a large 6.75-inch HD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate offering a comfortable viewing experience for videos social media and browsing. Powering the device is the Unisoc SC9863A octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be virtually expanded up to 8GB using unused storage.
Running on Android 15 Go Edition the phone is optimised for lighter apps and smoother performance on budget hardware. For photography the device includes an AI-supported 13-megapixel rear camera for everyday shots and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The phone also stands out in its segment with an IP64 rating providing protection against dust and splashes.
The Lava Yuva Star 3 is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging and is claimed to deliver up to 30 hours of talk time and extended standby usage. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor USB Type-C port 3.5mm headphone jack Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.
Priced at Rs 7,499 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant the Lava Yuva Star 3 will be available in Indus Black and Siachen White colour options. Sales will begin through offline retail stores across India from March and the device comes with a one-year warranty along with doorstep after-sales service.
