Xiaomi has officially confirmed the global and Indian colour variants for the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra as the February 28 launch event approaches. While both smartphones were previously introduced in China the upcoming global rollout will mark their arrival in key international markets including India with a few possible hardware adjustments.
The Xiaomi 17 will be available globally in Black Blue and Pink finishes. Meanwhile the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is set to launch internationally in a distinctive Starlit Green colourway. For the Indian market Xiaomi has teased the Xiaomi 17 in Black and Green shades while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has been showcased in a Black variant.
In terms of specifications both devices are largely expected to mirror their Chinese counterparts. The Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra run on Android 16 based HyperOS 3 and are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. They feature Leica branded triple rear camera systems along with a 50 megapixel front facing camera. The Ultra variant is confirmed to include a 200 megapixel Leica backed primary rear sensor.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra sports a 6.9 inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display and houses a 6800mAh battery in China supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The standard Xiaomi 17 features a slightly smaller 6.3 inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and packs a 7000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. However global versions of both models may launch with slightly smaller battery capacities.
Pricing leaks suggest the Xiaomi 17 could start at EUR 999 for the 12GB 256GB model and go up to EUR 1099 for the 12GB 512GB version. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to begin at EUR 1499 for the 16GB 512GB variant and may reach EUR 1699 for the 16GB 1TB configuration. In India the Xiaomi 17 is tipped to be priced around Rs 80000 while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could launch at approximately Rs 125000.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the global and Indian launch event will take place on February 28 at 6:30pm IST where complete details including official pricing and specifications will be announced.
