Manchester United Stars Harry Maguire Andre Onana and Diogo Dalot to Launch United We Play 2025 in Mumbai

Football fans in India are in for a treat as Manchester United stars Harry Maguire Andre Onana and Diogo Dalot are all set to make their first visit to the country. The Premier League trio will be arriving in Mumbai on May 29 to inaugurate the fifth season of United We Play a grassroots football initiative supported by Manchester United and powered by Apollo Tyres.

This marks a significant occasion as it’s only the second time that current Manchester United players will visit India. In 2022 David De Gea Anthony Elanga and Donny van de Beek had toured Goa for a similar event. The upcoming visit by Maguire Onana and Dalot is part of a broader effort to inspire the next generation of footballers and strengthen the club’s engagement with its growing fanbase in India.

Organized by Apollo Tyres United We Play is a pan-India programme that offers young footballers an opportunity to showcase their skills through structured competitions and mentorship. The initiative aims to encourage budding athletes to continue pursuing football by providing them with global exposure and insights into international training standards.

During their time in Mumbai the Manchester United players will participate in several fan interactions community activities and training-based events to kick off United We Play 2025. The programme is expected to have a wide reach with multiple cities participating across India and neighboring countries.

Apollo Tyres’ Vice President Rajesh Dahiya shared the success of the previous edition which saw over 15000 young players participate across 18 Indian cities with more than 100 coaches receiving training through virtual sessions from Manchester United Soccer Schools. The initiative has also expanded its footprint beyond India to countries like Nepal Thailand Bangladesh and the UAE.

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana expressed his excitement about the visit saying “We are really looking forward to being in India to launch the next chapter of United We Play. It’s a great opportunity for us to promote football and connect with the amazing fanbase that supports us so passionately.”
