Dubai Metro Announces Extended Timings for Islamic New Year 2025 Public Holiday

Date:

Planning to travel during the upcoming Islamic New Year holiday? Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially confirmed extended operational hours for public transport services to accommodate the increased movement of residents and visitors on Friday, June 27, 2025.

In line with the nationwide public holiday marking the Islamic New Year, all Dubai Metro stations across the Red and Green lines will run from 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM the following day. This allows commuters and holiday-goers to enjoy greater flexibility throughout the day and evening without worrying about last-train schedules.

The Dubai Tram will also operate extended hours on Friday, running from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day), ensuring smooth transportation across key leisure and residential areas in the city.

For those relying on buses and marine transport services, the RTA has confirmed continued operations throughout the public holiday weekend. Passengers are advised to check the latest service schedules on the RTA’s S’hail app to stay updated on any route adjustments or temporary changes.

While all RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed for the holiday, residents can still access services through Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and the RTA Head Office. These facilities will function round the clock to support customer needs digitally.

Dubai’s extended public transport hours are aimed at making the holiday experience smooth and accessible for all, whether you’re commuting to celebrations, shopping destinations, or spending the day with loved ones across the city.
