Packed with protein and calcium from low-fat paneer, and loaded with vitamins and antioxidants from bell peppers and onions, it makes a perfect healthy snack or main dish. The aromatic spices, including kasoori methi, garam masala, cumin, and chili powder, add a vibrant flavor to the grilled skewers.

Ingredients for Marinade:

  • 1 cup low-fat yoghurt
  • 1 Tbsp Bengal gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 Tbsp coriander and green chili paste
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for Satay:

  • 1 cup low-fat paneer, cubed
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, cubed
  • 1/2 cup onions, cubed
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients. Combine paneer, bell peppers, and onions with the marinade. Toss gently to avoid breaking paneer cubes. Set aside for 25-30 minutes.
  2. Skewer the ingredients by alternating a bell pepper piece, onion, two paneer cubes, and another bell pepper piece on each satay stick. Repeat for the remaining ingredients.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame and grease lightly with 1/2 tsp oil. Place half of the satay sticks on the pan until the paneer and vegetables turn golden brown.
  4. Repeat for the remaining satays.
  5. Serve hot with mint coriander chutney for a refreshing accompaniment.

This Paneer Methi Satay recipe is easy to prepare, flavorful, and perfect for anyone looking for a healthy Indian snack or starter for gatherings and family meals.
