Alienware Unveils 16 Aurora and 16X Aurora Laptops Featuring Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5070 Graphics

Alienware has officially introduced two new gaming laptops — the Alienware 16 Aurora and the more powerful Alienware 16X Aurora — designed for gamers and professionals seeking high performance and reliability. Launched as part of Dell's mid-range and flagship offerings these laptops combine sleek design with next-gen hardware and robust cooling systems. Both models feature 16-inch displays with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. The Alienware 16X Aurora offers a refresh rate of up to 240Hz while the 16 Aurora variant supports up to 120Hz. The panels deliver vibrant visuals with up to 500nits of peak brightness. Built for immersive experiences the laptops come equipped with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPUs and can be configured with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB of high-speed NVMe SSD storage. Running Windows 11 out-of-the-box the laptops are engineered with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth for advanced wireless performance. Users also get premium connectivity including USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports HDMI 2.1 RJ45 Ethernet and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Alienware 16X Aurora also includes a 1080p IR camera with Windows Hello support enhancing security and accessibility. Powering the Alienware 16 Aurora is up to an Intel Core 9 270H processor while the Alienware 16X Aurora can be equipped with Intel’s latest Core Ultra 9 CPU. These high-performance chips ensure smooth multitasking gaming and creative workloads without compromise. Battery options vary between the models — the 16 Aurora comes with either a 60Wh or a 96Wh battery while the 16X Aurora is available exclusively with a 96Wh battery. They both support 180W charging for quick power boosts. In terms of design the 16 Aurora weighs approximately 2.57kg and the 16X Aurora weighs around 2.66kg with only a slight difference in thickness. Alienware is offering both laptops in three configuration options and customers can further personalize their systems through custom builds on the official Alienware website. Pricing begins at $1149 for the 16 Aurora and $1949 for the 16X Aurora. However details about the launch in regions such as India have not yet been confirmed.
