Dubai is set for an action-packed start to the 2025 Dubai Fitness Challenge as two of the world’s toughest obstacle course races, Spartan Race and Tough Mudder, arrive at Hatta Resorts. The events will take place on Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2, at the Wadi Hub, offering participants a chance to test their endurance, strength, and agility against challenging courses.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge is an annual initiative encouraging residents to commit to 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days. This year, the inclusion of Spartan and Tough Mudder promises to push fitness enthusiasts to their limits with high-adrenaline races.
On November 1, Spartan Race will kick off the challenge with a range of distances including the 5k sprint, 10k super, 10k trail, and 21k trail. Kids can participate in 1k, 1.5k, and 3k races designed for younger athletes. Spartan competitors will tackle obstacles like barbed wire crawls, towering wall climbs, and fire jumps, making for an unforgettable experience.
The following day, Tough Mudder returns with 5k and 15k courses filled with muddy obstacles, teamwork challenges, and high-energy fun. A Spartan kids event will also take place on Sunday, allowing younger racers to enjoy the thrill.
Both days will feature a vibrant Festival Village at Wadi Hub, complete with food stalls, entertainment, brand activations, and family-friendly experiences, turning the weekend into a full-day outing for all ages. Isla Watt, director of Spartan Race Middle East, stated, “This event highlights the growing obstacle course racing community in the Middle East. Bringing Spartan and Tough Mudder together under the Dubai Fitness Challenge umbrella makes fitness exciting and accessible for everyone.”
Registration is now open with Spartan tickets starting from Dhs110 and Tough Mudder tickets from Dhs320. Time Out Dubai readers can use the code TIMEOUT20 for a 20 percent discount.
