Eric Dane has completed filming his role in the third season of HBO’s acclaimed drama Euphoria making it his final performance before his passing in February 2026. The actor continued working on the series despite being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ALS a condition he publicly revealed in April 2025.
According to confirmed reports Eric returned to the Euphoria set the same month he shared his diagnosis demonstrating his commitment to the project and his craft. Production for season three concluded later in 2025 with Dane having finished all of his scheduled scenes. The upcoming season is now set to premiere in April giving fans one last opportunity to see him on screen.
In the series Eric portrayed Cal Jacobs the complex and controversial father of Nate Jacobs played by Jacob Elordi. Cal’s storyline became one of the most discussed arcs of the show portraying a man grappling with addiction inner conflict and a double life that frequently erupted into destructive behaviour.
