Indulge in the Irresistible Delight of Mangomisu: A Tropical Twist to Italian Dessert

Date:

This innovative Mangomisu recipe combines the essence of Italian cuisine with the tropical flavors of fresh Alphonso mangoes. Presented as a culinary masterpiece by Chef Anant Bansode of Four Points by Sheraton Navi Mumbai, Vashi, this dessert is a perfect blend of creamy mascarpone cheese, delicate ladyfingers, and the rich sweetness of mangoes. With a total preparation time of just over two hours, Mangomisu is an easy yet indulgent dessert to try at home.

To prepare Mangomisu, begin by creating a flavorful coffee syrup using espresso powder, sugar, and water, with an optional splash of Kahlua for a subtle kick. The base cream is made by cooking egg yolks and sugar over a double boiler until thick, then folding them into a mixture of mascarpone cheese and fresh mango pulp. Dip the ladyfingers lightly in the coffee syrup and layer them with the mascarpone-mango cream in a mold. Enhance each layer with thin slices of Alphonso mangoes. Chill the dessert for two hours before serving it with a dusting of cocoa powder and a garnish of seasonal mango slices.

This dessert promises a delightful fusion of textures and flavors, perfect for anyone seeking a tropical twist on the classic tiramisu.
