Motorola has officially teased the upcoming Moto X70 Air, confirming its launch in China by the end of October 2025. The device is positioned to compete directly with Apple’s iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, offering an ultra-slim profile with advanced features.
A teaser shared on Motorola’s official Weibo account highlights a lightweight design with a raised rear camera module, expected to house at least two sensors. The phone’s design showcases a green colour option with copper accents around the camera. The volume and power buttons are placed on the right edge, maintaining a sleek, minimalist look.
While Motorola has not revealed the exact thickness, the Moto X70 Air is expected to fall between 5.6mm and 5.8mm, making it one of the slimmest smartphones in the market alongside the Galaxy S25 Edge, measuring 5.8mm, and the iPhone Air, currently Apple’s thinnest iPhone at 5.6mm. Other slim competitors include the Tecno Pova Slim 5G, which measures 5.95mm.
Under the hood, the Moto X70 Air is speculated to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which Motorola is confirmed to be launching with. This could make the X70 Air one of the first smartphones to debut with Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, joining other upcoming devices like the Xiaomi 17 series, Honor Magic 8 series, iQOO 15, OnePlus 15, and Realme GT 8 Pro.
The combination of slim design, AI capabilities, and flagship performance positions the Moto X70 Air as a premium choice for users looking for a stylish and powerful smartphone. Colour variants beyond green are likely to be revealed closer to launch, and more details on camera specifications and other features are expected in the coming weeks.
