Almond and Raw Banana Galawat is a delightful, healthy snack perfect for dinner parties or as an anytime treat. These bite-sized, nutty patties combine the rich flavors of almonds and the subtle sweetness of boiled raw banana, enhanced with aromatic spices for a fuss-free and delicious snack.
Ingredients (Serves 12, Medium)
- 80 g almond slivers, peeled
- 150 g boiled raw banana
- 25 g almond paste
- 20 ml cooking cream
- 15 ml refined oil
- 2 g mace powder
- 2 g cardamom powder
- 20 g ginger garlic paste
- 5 g garam masala powder
- 3 g red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 50 g tempura batter
Method
- Grate the boiled raw banana finely. Heat oil in a kadhai and sauté ginger garlic paste until lightly browned.
- Add garam masala powder and red chili powder, cooking briefly before stirring in almond paste for one minute.
- Mix in the grated raw banana and cook until the mixture starts leaving the sides of the kadhai. Season with salt, then finish with mace and cardamom powders.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then divide it into small equal portions.
- Shape each portion into patties, coat them with tempura batter, and press almond slivers on the surface.
- Grill the patties on a non-stick pan until golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy a healthy, flavorful snack.
