Oakley Unveils New Meta Smart Glasses With Advanced Meta AI 3K Ultra HD Camera: Check Price Specs and Global Launch Plans

Date:

Meta and Oakley have joined forces to launch an innovative pair of smart glasses called the Oakley Meta HSTN. This latest addition to Meta’s wearable tech lineup merges Oakley’s iconic HSTN eyewear design with Meta’s cutting-edge AI technology and high-resolution camera capabilities. The Oakley Meta glasses introduce a smarter way for athletes and everyday users to capture their adventures with a 12MP camera that now records in stunning 3K Ultra HD — an upgrade from the previous 1080p standard seen in the Ray-Ban Meta models.

The Oakley Meta HSTN model will be available as a special limited edition with exclusive styling details such as gold accents and PRIZM Polar lenses. Buyers can choose from multiple frame and lens variations, including Warm Grey frames with PRIZM Ruby lenses and sleek Black frames with PRIZM Polar or Transitions lenses.

Priced at $499 (approximately Rs. 43,200), the Oakley Meta HSTN glasses will be up for pre-orders starting July 11. Meanwhile, the standard models will start at $399 (around Rs. 34,500) and roll out later in the year. Initially, these smart glasses will be launched in markets like the US Canada UK Ireland France Italy Spain Germany Australia and Scandinavia, with expansion plans for India the UAE and Mexico in the coming months.

On the feature front, these AI-driven smart glasses enable wearers to handle everyday tasks completely hands-free using the Meta AI assistant. Users can snap videos and photos via a dedicated capture button, stream live PoV content directly to platforms like Instagram, and communicate through apps like WhatsApp and Messenger. The five-microphone setup ensures clear audio capture, and an LED indicator lights up when recording is active, ensuring transparency.

With an IPX4 rating, the Oakley Meta glasses are designed to resist splashes and dust — making them suitable for workouts and outdoor use. The battery is another area where Meta claims an upgrade: users can expect up to eight hours of active use on a single charge and up to 19 hours of standby time. The included charging case extends the total battery backup to about 48 hours and can deliver a 50 percent charge in just 20 minutes, providing convenience for those always on the go.

Additionally, the smart glasses integrate seamlessly with popular services such as Apple Music and Spotify, offering voice-activated playback and real-time information like weather updates or dining recommendations. Whether it’s for sports performance or casual lifestyle use, the new Oakley Meta smart glasses promise to bring a premium AI experience directly to your eyes.
