OnePlus is reportedly developing a new high-end smartphone set to debut later in 2025, featuring an 8,000mAh battery and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, potentially surpassing all previous OnePlus models in battery capacity. While the exact name and series remain unconfirmed, leaks suggest the phone could join the OnePlus Ace 6 series, following the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6, both launching in China on October 27.
According to a tip from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming device may feature a flat screen with 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and top-tier performance comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which powers the OnePlus Ace 6. The phone is expected to run Android 16-based ColorOS 16 in China, offering a high-end user experience for gaming and multimedia use.
The OnePlus 15 is confirmed with a 7,300mAh battery, while the Ace 6 includes a 7,800mAh unit, both equipped with OLED displays and high refresh rates. The new device with the rumored 8,000mAh battery would mark a significant leap in battery endurance for the OnePlus lineup. The OnePlus Pad 2, powered by Dimensity 9400+ SoC, will also be launched alongside the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 at the same China event.
Color options for the OnePlus Ace 6 include Black, Flash White, and Quicksilver, while the OnePlus 15 will be available in Absolute Black, Mist Purple, and Original Sand Dune. Weighing 213g, the Ace 6 is designed to deliver premium performance and aesthetics, and the new leaked phone is expected to continue this trend, combining flagship hardware with massive battery capacity for power users.
