Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up to launch the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max in China this October, offering flagship-level performance at competitive prices. The upcoming Redmi K90 Pro Max is expected to introduce a periscope telephoto camera, making it the first in the K-series to feature this advanced photography technology.
The new devices are part of Redmi’s dual flagship approach, aimed at users seeking high-performance smartphones under Rs. 50,000. The K90 Pro Max is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while the standard K90 could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, ensuring top-tier performance and energy efficiency.
Both handsets are expected to support 100W fast charging, with the Pro Max model likely housing the largest battery in the K90 lineup. The standard K90 is positioned as a sub-flagship device but still promises robust specifications, including premium build quality and enhanced performance for gaming and multimedia tasks.
Redmi has teased the launch via Weibo, confirming the names and hinting at pricing above CNY 4,000 (approximately Rs. 49,000) for the K90 Pro Max. While full specifications are yet to be revealed, leaks suggest high-end cameras, cutting-edge processors, and features aimed at photography enthusiasts and performance seekers alike.
As the launch date approaches, tech enthusiasts and smartphone fans can expect more information about display specs, camera capabilities, battery capacity, and software enhancements for the Redmi K90 series.
