Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta Now Available for Galaxy S25 Series in Multiple Regions

Date:

Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8.5 beta update to the Galaxy S25 series, marking the first devices to receive the latest software features. The beta program is currently live in select countries including Korea, the US, the UK, Germany, India, and Poland. Users enrolled in the Samsung beta programme can download the update via the Samsung Members app.

The One UI 8.5 beta brings a fully customisable Quick Panel, enhanced Galaxy AI features including improved image generation tools, and better cross-device connectivity with storage sharing across Samsung devices. Auracast functionality is upgraded with a new Audio Broadcast menu in Settings for easier streaming and listening. The update also introduces new weather effects for alarms, a redesigned weather widget, alarm backgrounds, early alerts for reminders, and battery and performance optimisations. Privacy and security improvements are also included, along with customisation options for the lock screen, widgets, and icons.

In Germany, the update is available with firmware versions S938BXXU7ZYL7, S938BOXM7ZYL7, and S938BXXU7CYL7, with a 4GB download size including the December 2025 Android security patch. Users can check for updates by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and install. Not all features may be available in every region, and Samsung plans to expand the beta programme to additional countries soon.
