Sony has expanded its flagship noise-cancelling headphone lineup in India with the launch of a new Sand Pink colour variant of the WH-1000XM6. Originally introduced in September 2025 the premium over-ear headphones were available in Black Platinum Silver and Midnight Blue and now arrive in a fourth colour option aimed at users who prefer a softer more fashionable look without compromising on performance.
The Sony WH-1000XM6 continues to sit at the top of Sony’s wireless audio range offering advanced active noise cancellation immersive sound and long battery life. The newly launched Sand Pink variant retains all the specifications of the existing models while adding a fresh aesthetic choice for buyers in India.
The headphones feature a closed-back over-ear design paired with 30mm dynamic drivers that deliver detailed audio with strong bass and clarity. Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 works alongside a 12-microphone system to provide adaptive real-time noise cancellation adjusting automatically based on surroundings and usage.
For sound enhancement the WH-1000XM6 supports high-resolution wireless audio through LDAC and includes DSEE Extreme technology to upscale compressed music. Additional features include Ambient Sound Mode Adaptive NC Optimiser Auto Ambient Sound and Quick Attention mode making the headset versatile for travel work and daily use.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.31 with multipoint pairing allowing users to connect two devices simultaneously. The headphones support SBC AAC LDAC and LC3 codecs and also offer wired listening through a 3.5mm audio jack. Call quality is improved with an advanced MEMS microphone system and AI-based voice pickup.
Battery performance remains one of the highlights delivering up to 30 hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled and up to 40 hours with ANC turned off. Charging is done via USB Type-C and takes approximately three and a half hours. The headphones weigh around 254g and are bundled with a carrying case charging cable audio cable reference guide and warranty card.
