Xiaomi Pad 8 Series Launch Confirmed in China Alongside Xiaomi 17 with Pre-Reservations Open

Date:

Xiaomi has officially teased the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 8 series, set to launch in China later this month alongside the Xiaomi 17 series. The company has already opened pre-reservations on Xiaomi Mall, allowing customers to secure the new tablets with a nominal deposit of CNY 1. While the exact release date has not been announced, Xiaomi has shared key details about the devices, promising significant upgrades over the Xiaomi Pad 7 lineup.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 series will feature an 11.2-inch display, a lightweight and portable build, and the new HyperOS 3 interface based on Android 16. Design highlights include a detachable keyboard and stylus support, catering to productivity and creative users alike. Rumors indicate the series will include Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, successors to last year’s Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro models.

Performance upgrades are expected across the lineup, with the standard Xiaomi Pad 8 rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM, a major leap from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the Pad 7 Pro. The Pad 8 Pro may feature 67W fast charging, while the standard model is expected to offer 45W, and both models will pack a 10,000mAh battery for extended usage.

The previous generation, Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, launched in October 2024 with 11.2-inch displays, 3.2K resolution, and 144Hz refresh rates. The Pro model included a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP selfie camera, while the standard Pad 7 had a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front sensor. Both models delivered high-performance experiences for entertainment, productivity, and gaming, setting high expectations for the new series.

With pre-reservations already underway, Xiaomi enthusiasts in China are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 8 series, which promises to blend powerful hardware, sleek design, and cutting-edge software for an enhanced tablet experience.
