Dubai has revealed an impressive redevelopment plan for one of its oldest الساحلية destinations, with a Dhs400 million upgrade set to completely redefine Al Mamzar Beach. The first visuals of the transformation were shared by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, showcasing a modern beachfront designed to enhance leisure and tourism experiences.
The ambitious project aims to turn Al Mamzar Beach into a premier family-friendly destination, introducing a variety of new features. Among the highlights are night swimming facilities and the world’s first 24-hour women-only beach, offering privacy and comfort through dedicated infrastructure built to international standards.
The redevelopment will significantly expand the beach’s capacity by 170 percent, covering a total area of approximately 4 million square feet. The women-only section will be fully enclosed to ensure safety and exclusivity, setting a new benchmark for inclusive beach experiences in the region.
According to Dubai Municipality, the upgraded corniche will combine relaxation and luxury, catering to visitors seeking peaceful yet high-end beach environments. The project will also introduce multiple food and beverage outlets, children’s play zones, fitness areas, and designated spaces for beach activities.
A network of interconnected paths for walking jogging and cycling will stretch across 1000 metres, linking Al Mamzar Creek Beach with Al Mamzar Park. Additional features include green landscapes a 2000 square metre skate park and upgraded facilities such as showers changing rooms and accessible services for people of determination.
The development will also incorporate smart technologies including AI powered surveillance systems and advanced emergency response solutions to enhance visitor safety. A floating pedestrian bridge is planned as part of the wider project to improve connectivity along the coastline.
This large-scale upgrade reflects Dubai’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position as a leading global beach destination while delivering sustainable and innovative public spaces for residents and tourists.
